Forthright Partners exists for one reason: to give working people honest answers to their money questions from an expert with nothing to sell.
Devan Wyson spent 15 years in the financial services industry before he founded Forthright Partners™. A Las Vegas native, he began his career at the local office of a global insurance company. There he learned the struggles of working in a corporate environment where answering to shareholders outweighed the needs of clients.
From there he served as Director of Financial Planning for a Utah-based advisory firm and, more recently, as Vice President at NSB Wealth Advisors.
Throughout his career, Devan has been asked to speak on financial literacy at a wide range of venues. He has taught servicemen and women of the Armed Forces, college and high school students, and local church groups. He is passionate about personal financial literacy and believes many of the problems we face as a country stem from a lack of knowledge and discipline in this area.
Devan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Regis University and a Master’s in Financial Planning from The American College of Financial Services.
He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, which is widely regarded as the most comprehensive and respected designation in the financial services industry. Beyond a rigorous curriculum, a 10-hour board-style exam, and continuing education requirements, CFP® certificants are subject to ongoing oversight to ensure fiduciary conduct.
